CHALLENGE
The Ministry of Transportation Ontario required a secure, province-wide digital infrastructure to support real-time HD/SD video streaming from over 200 traffic cameras, distribution critical real-time transportation data, and uninterrupted public safety communication during the PANAM/PARAPANAM Games, all while integrating legacy data feeds with a new 24/7 Traffic Management Centre.
SOLUTION
Futurebound provided full-spectrum network and IT systems integration services designing and deploying a highly available, standards-compliant infrastructure. This included private cloud deployments, 1G/10G routing and switching implementation, end-to-end security hardening, IP segmentation, VDI access, and secure public-facing load-balanced services.
RESULT
Over 2,500 Mbps of live ITS and video data were securely distributed 24/7/365 to first responders and media. System resiliency was achieved via 10G redundant backbones, VLAN segmentation, dual hypervisor support, and 24/7 operations—ensuring compliance, uptime, and real-time situational awareness.
